Industries / Dairy
Dairy effluent treatment. ETPs for milk plants, chilling centres and dairy product units.

What makes dairy effluent difficult
High organic load
Milk, whey and product losses push BOD and COD far above sewage levels.
Fats and grease
Milk fat coats tanks and pipes and upsets biological treatment if not removed first.
CIP swings
Acid and alkali cleaning cycles change pH and flow through the day.
What you get

- Commissioning by our engineers, guaranteed to work at the agreed design flow and load
- Board queries answered by us: any pollution control board question about our design or equipment
Questions
Can you upgrade our existing dairy ETP?
Yes. Most dairy ETPs struggle because key parts of the plant are undersized. We audit the plant, test the effluent and fix the stages that are failing, instead of rebuilding everything.
Do we need a UASB?
Only for high-strength streams or larger plants, where it lowers aeration power and produces biogas. For smaller units, a well-sized aerobic plant is simpler. We decide after looking at your flow and load.
