Industries / Electroplating

Electroplating effluent treatment. ETPs for plating, anodising and metal finishing units.

What makes electroplating effluent difficult

Heavy metals

Chromium, nickel, zinc and copper must be brought down to very low limits.

Chrome and cyanide streams

Need dedicated treatment before mixing.

Hazardous sludge

Metal sludge must be dewatered and disposed of correctly.

Where chemicals are needed

Electroplating is one industry where chemical treatment is unavoidable. Our job is to size it correctly, so you dose no more than you need.

Talk to an engineer about your plant

What you get

  • Site audit and effluent analysis before any design
  • Process design and DPR sized to your flow and board discharge norms
  • Clarifiers and MGF + ACF filters supplied by us
  • Installation supervision by our engineers
  • Commissioning by our engineers, guaranteed to work at the agreed design flow and load
  • Board queries answered by us: any pollution control board question about our design or equipment

Questions

Can rinse water be recycled?

Yes, with the right treatment and filtration, much of the rinse water can be reused, which cuts both water cost and effluent volume.

Is chemical-free treatment possible for plating effluent?

No. Heavy metals need chemical treatment. We keep it to the necessary stages and design them to minimise chemical use and sludge.
